Why do we need private moment with our Lord and Savior every day?
1) Because our pour heart truly needs God's strength
" God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Ps 46:1
" The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation." Ps 118:14
2) Because God knows all that is needful to us
" And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Ph 4:19
"This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. " Matthews 6:9-13
3) Because sons need the Father's company
" O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land where there is no water." Ps 63:1
" Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created." Jm 1:17-18
Concluding , we need to understand what happens when we're in God's company: our worth isn't found in what we do or what we own or what we accomplish . Our worth is found in the simple fact that we're God's redeemed creation, and as God's creation , we're conceived and born with great worth, for God doesn't creat worthless lives! We are sons of God, He is our heavenly Father! So, live this way always in the private moment with God!
